Since Reuben Heaton founded the business in 1857, his name has become synonymous with quality handmade fishing tackle.This tradition has been carried forward to the present day, where although the product range has changed somewhat, the attitude has not. In the nineteenth century the main production was that of centerpin reels for which Reuben Heaton gained much recognition, selling to all corners of the Empire in vast quantities.
